[Board Members] Board action items from today's meeting

Hi everyone,

Today's Chamber meeting was well attended:  Thanks are due to those who participated, especially those who drove here from miles away on a snowy morning.

We did not have a board quorum for an official vote and one item in particular was raised which requires our action.

Patrick's report from the events committee indicates that an agreement was sought with Green Fox Events and Guest Services, of Mammoth Lakes, to assist with the "Triple Threat" triathlon race scheduled for February.  The committee had been led to believe that under this agreement, some technical assistance would be provided to the committee for the operation of the event.  In fact, the agreement only provides for background services in terms of marketing and sponsorships.  It is the recommendation of the Events Committee that the Chamber decline to enter into the agreement with Green Fox.

There was full consensus of the members present at the meeting, to follow the Event Committee's recommendation.

Since a Board Quorum was not present, would you please respond to this email to show your vote on this matter.  Upon receiving necessary board votes I will then send a letter to Sandra DeDemizio of Green Fox Events and Guest Services, notifying her that we will not require her services.
