All who put forth effort to make this past winter's events successful are to be congratulated and thanked. There is no reason to be suspicious or accusatory at this time, regarding shortcomings in accounting.
It is true that the Chamber must act with diligence under the terms of the contract we signed with Mono County: however, we must remember that this is a membership-based organization and as a board it is also our responsibility to represent and support all of our members as well as the community at large.
I encourage a more positive approach to these matters.
Thanks,
--Dan

Candy has been up front about the event and may not know what you require in terms of normal accounting. I am satisfied with her spreadsheet as I, along with Randy Lucas, The McCoys, Pat Ferguson, Jarrod Lear have looked at all the source documents and are aware of how the money was used. At this point I would err on the side of allowing what she has provided to go through. This is certainly much better accounting than the Chamber has received in the past from the Monster Trout event (which you have well documented). I would like to avoid having people like Candy who have put in countless hours on the events put off from working on these things in the future because of a misunderstanding related to accounting procedures.

All I know is I paid bills for the event, I will soon bill the county for the event. And Jared has funds, he made for the community (?) and has had them for over a month with no accounting provided to anyone. He was paid fees as an organizer to run the event, which he did not wait for.
I’m strictly looking at this as the Treasurer. As I said, I’m somewhat put off by his comments and his independence. I have not answered him and will leave that to other members of the Chamber.
Candi came into my office today and had a tude about providing normal accounting of the Poker Rally.
I might be wrong, but I thought all of these different committees were an extension of the Chamber to benefit the community, through the Chamber? If I’m wrong, please let me know. If I’m right, it needs to be reeled in, just not by me. Being a General Contractor has taught me to head things off at the pass and made me rather gruff in doing so.

He has been in possession of these funds for a month now. Maybe one of you can address the issue with him. I see the whole operation differently and am somewhat put off by his reaction.

If anything ask the county as this should have already been accounted for

Jared, when can we expect the funds raised at the Triple Threat event? Many bills to pay while we wait for reimbursement from the County.
Thanks
