Important Info and Updates from your Chamber Board President

Good afternoon, 

Your Chamber Board has been busy working hard to represent the interests of the membership and provide services and information that is helpful to the economic and environmental health of the Loop, our beautiful home.   Our Marketing Committee, headed by Vice President Jamie Schectman, has been active in developing new, thoughtful and  effective means to bring people into the Loop. In addition to continuing publishing a revised full page ad in both the print and digital copies of the Mono County Tourism Guide, developing radio promo spots for both KMMT and Sierra Wave radio, the committee recently created a press release. You can review a copy of the press release that was distributed with the help of  our partner Mono County Tourism to news outlets across the country and targeted markets.

Events are being hosted, created  and shared to serve the needs of our businesses and also to promote and enhance tourist visits. The Chamber hosted a Social Media Marketing workshop in April and a Chamber Mixer/Fishing Summit in May, both of which were well attended.  Please see the events listed below, that are happening in the next week couple of weeks, two of which are being held here in June Lake.  

Mark your calendars for the first Annual Leaves in the Loop scheduled for  October 19-20.  Details still being refined and please feel free to join the planning team, lead by Board Secretary Lindsey Chargin.  

Finally, your Board has unofficially adopted the slogan "Together, We Rise", knowing that everything positive that we do should benefit everyone in the community.  We hope that you as a Chamber member will help reach out to others in the community who aren't Chamber members now and ask them to be part of the efforts to continue "to make all boats rise".  

Thank you for your support. We welcome your participation at board meetings (held 2nd Tuesday of each month at 6PM) and also as volunteers on committees. Your input is invaluable as we move ahead together.
