[Members] June Lake Winter Festival 2016

Chamber Members:

As you are probably aware, the 2016 June Lake Winter Festival is scheduled for Saturday January 27.  We are excited for the potental success of the event, as this year we finally have some snow for this time of the season!  As you remember the event needed to be curtailed during the past two years due to the drought conditions.  Plans include:

Winter Triple Threat Triathlon (fat bikes, xc skis and laser rifles at Silver Lake Meadow)
Snowmobile Poker Rally (at June Lake Junction)
Family Fun Zone and Awards (at June Mountain)
Snow Sculpture Contest along Main Street (in June Lake Village)

Volunteers to help with this event are always needed.  If anyone has some time to help the Winter Events Committee with this effort please contact Beki Segura at boulderlodge56@gmail.com.  The Committee has been meeting Wednesdays at the Double Eagle.  Once again this year, we have enlisted Alana Levin, the organizer of the June Lake Triathlon, to assist with event planning.

There will be also be a Directors Meeting of the Chamber on Tuesday Feb 9 at 10 am in the June Lake Community Building.  We will be discussing the Festival Event as well as our other Chamber Programs.
