1. Call to Order: 6:04pm by Vice President Jamie Schectman
2. Members Present: John DeCoster, Ralph Lockhart, Lindsey Chargin, Joe Bogorad
3. Approval of July Minutes: John motioned, Ralph seconded, all approved.
4. Treasurer’s report:
Cash: 242.45
Checking Account: 12,375.18
Paypal: 250.00
TOTAL Assets: 12,904.61
Union Bank merchant services were discussed and Joe is researching further so that we can see if we want to use it instead of Paypal.

Marketing

Beautification of balanced rock (glacial erratic) near fire station
- Idea is to create another tourist stop in June Lake
- USFS owns the land and team is working on making contact
- Improvement ideas=solar light shining on rock, info kiosk, general beautification, increased parking, improved trail to bottom of rock

Logo modernization update
- Getting closer to finished product. Still working on modifications.
- Expanded radio spots

- Will be working on script with Chamber benefits and accomplishments to bring in new members

Meeting with Alterra regarding June Mountain (Jamie)
- Bob Gardner is asking Rusty and Mark face to face for a meeting soon
- There was an article in the sheet in which Mark Brownlee identified June Lake as a opportunity, not just an overflow mountain

- Press interested in coming and writing stories
- Any lodging partners can donate stays!

Management of Website/ Socials/ Google Voice Phone Number
- Ralph recommended looking at “social media influencers” for cost effective marketing
- Followers (FB=20k & Instagram=3,770)

Street Banners Plan
- Modernize banners with new logo when finished

Safety and Sustainability (Joseph)
- New concept surrounding smart growth

Could have a webpage with “sustainability tips” that we link to FB/Instagram posts, put on flyers, press releases, etc.

- Could be a joint initiative with COC/CAC/Trails/Lee Vining Chamber
- Joe working on obtaining material

Scheduling of the JLLCOC Annual Meeting
- Janet working on seeing if we can do at June Mountain Chalet on 10/8/19
- All businesses (members and non-members) invited
- Benefits/accomplishments presentation
- June Lake Weather Station (Abi) – Tabled
- Update on Visit June Lake Website (Sarah) – Tabled

Renters’ Insurance and Fire Insurance
- Directors and Officers insurance and event liability should be all that’s needed
- Agency (Robert E Harris Insurance Agency) will give certificates for events

Summer Tourism Discussion
- Double Eagle having a strong year
- Golden Pine RV Park is/has been at 98-100% capacity
- Mammoth Realty Group – homes are selling fast
- June Lake Marina - busier than last year
- High Sierra - traffic, parking limitations and lines are noticeably increased
- T-Bar - 20 year Bishop resident says he’s never seen town a-buzz like this

Lodging Occupancy Reporting System
- Jeff Simpson at Mono County is working on this
- Will help with staffing planning when available to all businesses

Revisit Mission Statement
- Will work on further, when logo is done
