Oh! Card Resurrected

Last year's OH! Card mid-week savings program was cut short by the mountain closure.  It has been restarted with fresh enthusiasm for the 2007/2008 winter season.  Businesses and organizations that signed up last year to be on the OH! Card will see them being redeemed this season.  New posters and rack cards will soon be available to local businesses as well as being distributed through Certified Folder, to 350 locations throughout Southern California, Reno and the Hwy 395 corridor.   Participants will be visited this month by a Chamber member to review the program, distribute posters, flyers and tracking labels  We hope to receive press in newspapers throughout our target area.  Over 14,000 postcards promoting the OH! Card will be mailed out in October.  Businesses who submitted mailing lists for the postcards will be receiving an invoice for the postage due.  For details
visit the chamber website, now available at any of these addresses:

WHAT is the OH! Card:
A hard plastic 3-fold card that offers winter mid-week savings at businesses throughout June Lake.  One side has small peel-and-stick coupons for redemption.  Most every business in the June Lake Loop is offering midweek savings such as up to 25% lodging, up to 30% off dining.  Retail stores offer considerable savings as well.  There's even savings for gasoline, guided back country skiing, a snowmobile package, spa day passes and massages.

How to get an OH! Card
OH! Cards will be made available for free at June Mountain, upon the purchase of each lift ticket or season pass.

If a guest gives me one of the coupons:
The sticker should be pasted on a tracking slip and handed at the end of the month to the Chamber. Tracking the redemption of these coupons is essential to monitoring the success of this program.

Billboard

We have procured a billboard on Hwy 395 in Olancha. It is a 10' X 12' billboard visible northbound on Hwy 395 just past the Crystal Geyer plant.  We have committed to this billboard for one year and there will be at least two face changes on it. The first will be a winter message.  Look for it next time you are in that area.

Chamber Website

Have you seen the new and beautiful Chamber website?  Many thanks to Dan Roberts for his work on this project.  This new website has been designed so each business can edit and change their own web link page.   With over 5,000 hits to the website in August, is your link page up to date?? Please watch your email, as Dan will be sending you your member login information.

We are looking for volunteers to assist with maintaining different aspects of the website.  From the community calendar, news, links, assisting businesses with their web link page and regular maintenance volunteers are needed.  If you are interested, send Dan an email at dan@eastsierra.net, or give him a call at (760)  937-0769.
