The Theater Festival is interested in collaborating with the rest of community, the event is free to the public and Dan will promote the event on Facebook and the chamber website.

Autumn Beer Festival is Saturday September 29.
The June Lake Fireman’s BBQ was well attended and raised a great deal of money for our local firefighters.
Advertising: Feedback from the stakeholder survey showed that members think are spending too much money on print ads which is currently $7,100 for the year. Discussion on the current spend, who really sees it and what are the impressions. Our ads lead people to the website and Facebook for more information, which is definitely helping our likes on FB. This topic also brought up the need for a Marketing Committee as well as other subcommittees. Committees and subcommittees will be added to the September agenda for further discussion.
Ralph made a motion to appoint a chair of a Marketing Committee and to begin gathering information as well as adding members to said committee. Lindsay seconded, motion passed.
Monument Sign: Van Gould can paint the southbound June Lake Loop sign for $750.
Internet: Reports were passed around on our website and FB stats. We currently have 942 Page Views on FB, with 11,000 people engaging with our posts. The website has 15,9000 unique visits with the top three page views as Lodging, campgrounds and the events calendar. Dan also passed around copies of the transcribed voicemails the chamber number receives. Guests we’re asking about smoke in the area. Discussion was had to disperse the duties of answering the voicemails to other members.
Mono County 2019 Budget: Discussion on whether or not the issue is fish V. trails but rather about reducing the budgeted amount for trophy fish in the proposed 2019/20 budget. Abi submitted a letter earlier that month and will change the verbiage to be less about fish v. trails and more about why we need money for fish in the June Lake Loop. To help with additional membership support, Janet and Jamie will work on a survey to ask members how important fishing is to their businesses. Ralph made a motion to finalize a letter, with backing information from a general membership survey, to present to the Mono County Board of Supervisors at the September 4th meeting as well as strongly recommending that chamber members attend to be heard. Janet seconded, motion passed. Abi will work on reconstructing the letter after survey responses come in.
Survey Money Stats: We had 43 responses from the June Lake Chamber of Commerce Stakeholder Survey. Takeaways are that most are not satisfied with the chamber and that we need to communicate better with our members as to what we are doing for them and the community.
