Chamber Minutes 5.30.18

Treasurers Report- Dan passed out financials for the past year. Motion to approve by Abi, Jessalyn seconded. Report approved.

Chamber Status- Dan will use the financials to submit/ file the 501(c)6 IRS form to the sectary of state. Current members will be listed as such:

  • President - Jessalyn McCoy

  • Vice President - Ralph Lockhart

  • Dan Roberts – Treasurer

  • Abigail Ross – Sectary

  • Board Members – Cheri Bromberger, Karen O’Keefe, Lori Ronci and Louis Curel

Winter Fest – Went well for another year. Several businesses participated by doing snow sculptures and employees from Double Eagle, Boulder Lodge and other individuals donated their time to make it happen.

Advertising Contracts – We are currently renewed with the Mono County visitors guide, the Info Board located at Tioga Gas Mart, and the Inyo County visitors guide. Currently entertaining the idea of the Scenic 395 booklet.

Banners- Jessalyn was able to switch the banners over from winter to summer. Some of the Fireman’s BBQ banners are worn out. Jessalyn is going to approach the fire dept. about having new ones created. In the future is was discussed to have other event banners made for the Triathlon, Beer Fest, Jam Fest, etc.

Internet – We are receiving 500 page views a day and our Facebook page has over 17,249 likes. Abi offered to help with Facebook as an admin to create events and help with posts.

Monument Sign – The lights are out on the 395 north bound June Lake Loop sign. Rick will look into it and get them fixed. Our fees to the forest service have been paid according to our land use agreement. Update/ refresh on the south bound 395 sign, that one sits on Dept. of Water and Power land. A request to get a painting quote from Van Gould was discussed.

Triathlon Sponsorship – The chamber will once again be the bag sponsor for the triathlon. $1,000 has been paid to Alana. We need a banner so that it can be displayed at the event as well as 50 words or less describing the chamber to be announced at the event.

Music Fest Fundraiser – Happening June 23, a the June Lake Community Center. Spaghetti feed and silent auction.

General Mixer/Meeting – Wednesday June 20, 6pm. Food & Drink, Dan will create the flyer, Double Eagle can help with food.
